Because everyone could use a little moxie.

Who

I am a woman, mother, entrepreneur,  community volunteer, writer, and voter. A  reformed corporate rock star, I try my hardest to remain focused on doing what I enjoy and avoiding the trappings of others’ expectations. I am a passionate advocate for the empowerment of women and girls in all facets of life. I am an eternal optimist and can find the silver lining in any situation – just try me.

What

A blog, a meeting place, an ever-evolving idea that started with the goal of making the world a better place. Project Moxie is about connecting, inspiring and empowering others through storytelling, open discussions, and whatever spark or idea that makes me, you, others smile.

Why

Well, why not? I’ve certainly wasted enough time talking about what I would someday do, so now I’m doing it. Writing, sharing, connecting and enjoying each day as it comes.  I hope to inspire and empower others to follow their passions, too. I also hope to spare at least one person in the universe from tripping over all the same obstacles I faced to get here!

She’s Got Moxie!

I won’t bore you with the definition of Moxie; you can find that on Dictionary.com or on just about every other site that uses Moxie in the title. What I will tell you is that for me, Moxie is about being true to yourself, living your life out loud and owning who you are – the good, the bad and the ugly. It’s also about pushing forward and continuously finding ways to improve. Favorite quote/mantra of all time says it best, “To be all you can be, you must dream of being more.” Want more?

"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world. ~Anne Frank"
